Last week Las Vegas hosted no less than 5 trade shows related to the world of Design and Home Building, IBS, KBIS, NHS and TISE, in conjunction with Las Vegas Winter Market. Click here for more info . While I always try to spend at least one day at Market, I was lucky enough to see KBIS too. Being an empath it’s hard to be in large crowds and overly stimulating environments. So I did a quick dash in and out of KBIS then headed up to Market!
Here are some takeaways, mainly described in pictures, to give you some perspective on where Design is headed in 2023. As they say “a picture is worth a 1000 words.”
I loved the retro inspired glam in all the bath vanities I saw – very Kerry. I was especially in awe of the Italian based company Avaluxury (Bathrooms). Other than some eco-friendly design options in counter tops from German company, Ecotone, nothing really jumped out as super cool or innovative, just beautiful.
Glam is back baby! We’re seeing a lot less of all that griege wood and more metallics, particularly gold. AMEN. Round mirrors and rattan were everywhere just like Summer Market, especially rattan pendant lights. Curved sofas are still trending hard too.
Color wise nothing jumped out at me like the last 2 shows. There was a lot of black and white with pops of green, blues and blue-greens. Blush and Grey are here to stay, not going away. My favorite showroom Global Views went bold with an Asian inspired all RED room! Each showroom had their own vibe and color palette so I put together some photo montages of my favorite spaces.

Las Vegas Market shows happen twice a year – Winter & Summer – and are open ‘to the Trade only’. The rest of the year LV Design Center is open to the public. However, you need to be working with a Designer in order to purchase. If you fall in love with something there you can say you’re working with Kerry F. Décor. If I don’t already have an account with that showroom, I can set one up.
I would be curious to know your thoughts and feelings style wise on the KBIS and LV Winter Market photos? Feel free to leave a comment below or reach out to me via email at KerryFDecor@gmail.com
